This series of homages, a series about war and the feeling of war. I turned to the canvases of world artists, but rethought them and put them on our current situation in Ukraine. I poured out my pain through images that are very familiar and close to us, but in new realities everything has changed.
What pictures does life paint for us today?
Each picture that I chose to create a tribute has its own story and I experienced it in my own way.
It is an attempt to show the real modern through the prism of very familiar images.
A familiar composition of famous characters or even idols to acquire a different mood is what Ukrainians in Ukraine or even abroad see every day. Our familiar and native has long since changed.World history is cyclical, what happened will happen with slight changes. This is a reflection on the legacy, what legacy did the previous generations have and what legacy will future generations have. Through what lessons humanity passes cycle by cycle. There is also territorial inheritance. In terms of a different historical aspect, Ukraine has a different historical code than Europe. А new big aspect of the war is superimposed on all this.
So what is the picture today and do we all see it the same way?
